For Fathers Day I took pics of my husband and our girls.
This was an old abandoned house I've just been dying
to go snoop around!
My husband FINALLY agreed to go....even though
he was a bit "skeered" someone might bust through the door
with a big ol' shotgun!  

I doubt it...as it is a lovely shade of turquoise!
Shot guns and turquoise don't mix!

Cozy Inn

Every time we visit Salina we have to go this hamburger diner.

Built in 1922, the diner is teeny tiny inside with only 6 stools.

Your lucky if you get a seat.

We were lucky!

My husband has been coming here since he was a kid.  

You buy em' by the sack.  

That's it.  

No cheese, no mayo, no little piece of green leaf lettuce.  

They look nasty I know,  but there so good.  

The same grill has been used since 1922,  

So it's all good and seasoned!

 

Kansas I

So we went to Salina, KS this past weekend.
I've been off and on for the past 20 years to visit my husbands family but I honestly think it was the first time I went with a different perspective.

 
I really just enjoyed what was around me and soaked in the moment.
Maybe because I had two little girls with me this time.
or
Maybe because I had no computer access for 4 days.
(hmmmm...that's probably it)!

 
Our families nasty habit. 
shhhh don't tell!!!
but definitely fitting for a trip to Kansas!

 
After the long drive up we pulled into Grandma Kansas's house.
That's what we call her. 

 
She recently had it painted. 
I instantly fell in love with this bright turquoise color. 
If I painted my house this color in my neighborhood I would get dirty looks!

 
It definitely made the weekend a happier place to be!

This Guy...

I'm a few days late because we have been out of town...
Salina, Kansas to be exact...
his hometown.



It was a good Fathers Day weekend we had.



What a great Daddy he is!





A little bit about this guy...

He ♥s being home.
He ♥s pittling in his garage.
He is such a hard worker.
He ♥s to go bird hunting.
He drinks too much coffee.
He drinks too much diet pepsi max.
He ♥s walks around the neigborhood.
He ♥s his sunflower seeds and his spit cup.
He ♥s teaching my daughters to do the same habit.
He ♥s God.

I've been thinking...

Sometimes I feel like time is moving too fast,
I focus on it too much,
I struggle with it.
The revolving door of life.



My head spins and spins with these thoughts.
My husband wishes I would STOP thinking so much!



Make it all stop!
Mr. Time...won't you please STOP,
even just for a short time!
This is where I want to stay forever.

 

  Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Sister-n-law, Aunt, Friend.

(at 33 years old!)

One day I know it will even be GRANDER
but for now
this is where I want to be.
